Un-matched Wing & Fuse?

Gentlemen; I've been trying to sell my kit in progress. It's a completed Emp, partially complete wings and QB Fuse delivered. I've gotten several inquiries asking if I'd sell the fuse seperately. Besides my unwillingness to part out my kit, I wonder about people putting wing spars into center sections which weren't match drilled. Is this common? Possible? Safe?
How is it possible that people out there have wings completed (apparently, since it's always the QB Fuse they're interested in) yet don't have a spar center section?
Someone out there is confused about this, I'm just hoping it's not me.

According to someone I talked to at Van's before I bought a set of wings from another project, "they quit being so anal about it." I have empanage and fuselage from Van's and wings from another kit. I do have a -7 not an -8 though.
