Default Gretz Aero Pitot Mounting Bracket Kit HELP!!!!!

Hi,

I bought a Dynon Heated Pitot and Gretz Aero Mounting Bracket Kit from Aircraft Spruce. But I have received the Gretz kit without hardware and Instruction, so I send two mail from different account to Gretz Aero asking for instruction on PDF to be send by mail to me, about hardware I wish the Instruction comes with a hardware list so maybe I could find some of the parts here in Chile(not easy) or buy the from Van's. The problem is that I am ready to close the left wing and I just need to install that pitot and I haven't received any answer from Gretz (I have wait just 2 days).
So if anyone have the instruction manual and hardware list I will appreciate your help.

Thanks,

Fernando

Default 6-32

I used AN- round head style- Though I have seen the Pitot counter-sunk to accept the flat head-
your choice, lengh according to type of screws.
Be very carefull when tapping the Dynon Probe.
Hope that helps

You can see my installation here: http://www.rv8alog.com/wings/pitot_s...tot-static.htm.

Feel free to e-mail me if you have any questions: jorgemartinez343 at cfl.rr.com

Also, I ordered some screws (I believe from Spruce) to attach the pitot to the mast. The part number for those is NAS601-3P (Alloy screw). They are 6-32 by about 3/16th's. I ordered more than I needed so if you give me an address I'll be happy to send you 4 of them.

Default Drilled or undrilled Gretz pitot mount?

I'm about to buy the mounting tube (again) since I seem to have lost mine somewhere in my workshop. I can't recall if it was drilled or undrilled - does anyone know if the drilled version works ok with the Garmin pitot? or are there any other advantages/disadvantages to the drilled vs. undrilled? Thanks!

Smile Drilled

The one advantage of the drilled mount is that the 4 holes that mount the actual pitot tube will be spaced for commercially available (certified) pitot tubes.

My Dynon pitot came undrilled so the mounting holes I had to drill and tap were in non-standard locations.

If you get it drilled you can then use the holes as templates into your pitot tube.

A minor point, but it costs nothing in this case to follow standards.
