Default storage oil: detergent or non-detergent?

I'm about to re-pickle an O-360-F1A6 until I can get an A&P to pull a cylinder for me. Can I use regular cheap 5w detergent oil to fill up the case or should I use non-detergent oil, which is 30w and not so cheap.

thanks,
-john

Default any oil

I stored my Lycoming for about a year by completely filling the case and cylinders with oil. Lycoming tech support didn't care what oil was used for this. Less expensive automotive oil was fine with them.
