New PP-ribs for "old" RV-8 wing skin???

Hello!
I bought an older "slow build" RV-8 project from a good friend who chose to acquire a QB RV-8-kit.
I have completed Empenage and L wing + both tanks. I am about to start on the R wing shortly.
I am considering buying all new PP-ribs for this wing to make the fit more perfect instead of using the existing not-PP ribs. However VANs support can not confirm that the PP of my W-801PP-R, W-802PP-R, W-803PP-R, W-804PP-R & W-805PP-R will be identical to the now used W-701-R etc.
Do YOU have any experince in using new ribs for old skins???

PS I did use new PP tankribs for the R tank, and it worked out fine.
