Default No Choice

Don't know if I understand your question. You really don't have a choice. The piece is precut.

WOW! THAT TOO????? Mine is a 6 kit, and we do have to cut them.

So then my question would be............ if you have a six, what was your measurement?

And if you are doing, or have a 7, then what was the amount of overhang that VAN'S built into your kit?

Measured from the weldment tube that comes down in front of the panel, to the edge that gets a black trim on it.

Thank You!................

I believe I left about 2.5". If you get too much, it's hard to see the higher instruments. That's one reason my switches are at the top of the panel.
BTW Be sure to cover the edge with something soft!

Mel beat me to it. 2.5" is just about perfect. Much more starts being too much, and less than that doesn't give you room to attach a ribbon light, etc.. I've seen some huge overhangs, and to me they just look like a huge cleaver waiting to slice my head if I have an accident!

Cheers,
Stein
