Default IFR power settings RV-7A

I am starting work on my IFR ticket. Could some of you share your configuration and power settings for holding, approach level flight, approach descent, and final approach. I was out with my instructor under the hood and it felt easier at 120mph than at 100 or less. Are you using any flaps and if so when? On another note I did some stall/spin training today and that was quite the experience.
Thanks

Default For all my training

I used 20"MP and 2400RPM.

I found that gave me enough power to climb but keep things at a reasonable "thinking speed"...I did all my approaches at 100kts without flaps..Anothier thing not to think about.

Flew my checkride the same way.
