Default Flap Actuator Question

My flap actuator is part number: ES 85615-10 (per the P/N sticker on the unit) both the plans and instructions refer to it as part number: ES-85615-157. Does anybody know if this is something I need to be concerned with? Besides the part number on the tag, it is also stamped 08/28/07/ 1 which I’m taking to be a date and modification number?? Anybody know anything about this?

Default Answer to my own Question

OK, I have to answer my own question, but it creates a different question. I talked to Gus at Van?s and he told me that the actuator I have is for an RV-10, but that the only difference is the internal gear ratio, and that it would make the flaps move about 1/3 slower. Checking the part numbers out on Van?s online store I see the actuator I have is also $40 more than the one that should go on an RV-7. So, the new question is do I go ahead and install it, or return it to Van?s for the right one???

For reference:

ES 85615 ? 157 is for an RV-7
ES 85615 ? 10 is for an RV-10
