No. I had planned to use the promised economy of the DH to power my RV-6 to beat the record set by Alex Henshaw in 1939, London - Cape Town - London 4 days 10 hours 16 minutes.

In 2008 I was promised 'next year' again by DH so I borrowed a friend's GP-4 and and in May 2009 I knocked 18 hours and 59 minutes off the record, but as it was Cape Town - London - Cape Town, the FAI deemed it to be a new record.

The object of this thread is to find out how many other people paid $5000 deposit in 2003 / 2004?

I plan to hold DH to the agreed price and not the new PT-6 numbers.
