Question Dimmer switch for LED panel lights?

A number of sources have been mentioned for flexible LED lighting strips to install on the panel glare shield, at prices below $10. I asked about a dimmer switch which could be used for these, buried in a previous thread, and got a response that the 21 years of RVator had one in it. I have the previous version (17 years) which does not have this.

Can anyone provide the details on this dimmer switch that would be sufficient to construct it? Also, if there are any other suggestions on a dimmer switch which would be useful for the flexible LED strips I would appreciate it. I enjoy putting these little electrical projects together much more than paying for someone else to do it. This information might be useful to a number of persons contemplating the same lighting or using LED lights elsewhere.

Default light dimmer

well, these are not a DIY project.

with these dimmers you will also need a momentary (on) off (on) switch.

usually selling for around $40.

these also work as motor speed controllers. a simple way to slowing the trim adjust.

There are a number of threads on this topic that indicate Van's dimmer's work just fine with LED lights. My experience is the same, having hooked my lights up to Van's dimmer.
