Default Weekend Weather Blues

Looks like the western 1/2ish of the country is gonna be socked in this weekend. Been raining here all day. I actually had to drive my PU to an airport 55 miles west. I got there and it was hailing.

CO, WY, ND, SD, KS, MO, IA, NE, MT....looks like it's gonna be a wet weekend with more hanger flying than air time.

I stopped by the airport and found a couple guys enroute from North Carolina to Oregon in a Luscombe, winds were in the thirties. I called a guy I know in Garden City Ks. for a possible hangar and car. They launched and apparently made it just before some nasty thunderstorms rolled in.
I brought my RV8 back from Dodge City this afternoon and was greeted by almost direct 35 mph xwinds. Storms building this afternoon.
Tornados all over Kansas this evening.
I am supposed to take a Supercub over to northeast Ok. in the early A.M. I think I'll pass.
