Do I send in my original Bill of Sale with my registration package to the FAA or is a copy appropriate? I understand you don't get anything back from the FAA that you send in (only the registration itself), so I'm leery of sending in the original unless it is mandatory.

Thanks!

I believe everything should be the original.. but you should make copies for yourself to hold onto..

Lee,
It has to be the original. Make sure you send the application with the Affidavit of Ownership for amateur-built aircraft-It has to be notarized. And don't forget the $5.
Good Luck! It took them two months to tell me I needed my Affidavit.
