As you can tell from my signiture, I live in North Carolina, the heart of the US furniture industry.
I have a friend who is getting ready to retire as the head of the prototype shop for a very reputable furniture maker. (You have seen his work at Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, and other places.)
In talking with him about the interior on his old Chevy that he restored, I asked if he could do airplane seats and when I showed him how simple they were, he got very excited.
