Default Pitot/Static Tube placement?

Can anyone tell me if there would be a problem mounting my Pitot/Static Tube between the 3rd and 4th outboard rib as opposed to next to the Aileron Bellcrank like Vans suggests?

Jeff, This should not cause any problems aerodynamically. Do you intend to implement any kind of inspection hole to install/service the connection?
