aeroquip 666 hose assembly question

I just got some aeroquip 666 hose and some straight flare fittings (Eaton 66000) from ACS. I made my first fitting installation, and it seems to go OK, but I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

In between the fitting and the thread-on outer collar, there is a tapered ferrule. It looks to me like the correct sequence is this:
1) slip outer collar over the hose,
2) insert the tapered ferrule UNDER the braid, around the teflon inner tubing
3) insert the fitting with cylindrical sleeve inside teflon inner tubing
4) tighten outer collar onto fitting with wrenches until the parts mate.

Sound right?

Thats it. Getting the furel under the braid can be a bit tricky, Aeroquipt has a special tool to flare it out a bit, you can do the same by pushing it down on a flat surface several times so get the braid flared out enough. When assembling, I like to hold the fitting in a vice, then turn the nut/hose/furrel assembly with a wrench while I push on it to keep the hose from backing out. Lubricate the threads during assembly.

Thanks. The hose used in the u-tube video looks much thinner wall, lighter duty than the Aeroquip 666, but the same principles apply.
