Brake Hoses Too short?

Have any of you gotten the Van's brake hoses that come in the kit and they were too short? Unless I'm missing something my hoses that came with my 9A are about 3 inches short. My plans show a hard line from the fuse exit point to the brake inlet 822-4D. With the MG fairing come the rubber hose 28.5" - it just will not reach with the brakes to the rear as shown on the plans.
