Default Measuring Edge Distance

Is edge margin distance measured from the center of the hole to edge or the perimeter of the hole to edge when checking to ensure minimum distance has been met?

Ooh... I'd say it depends how your "minumun edge distance" is specified. I have run to rules which measure it from the center of the hole but also rules which define it from the edge of the hole -- needless to say that minimum edge distance requirement is .5 diam. of the rivet different...

I would use only tables for edge distances, which indicate where this should be measured like: http://home.earthlink.net/~gilalex/r...ec/rivet_a.htm

Those tables give the absolute minimum. One should also account for repair with oversized rivets giving a limit of roughly 2. The Jeppeson repair manual say min 2, max 4 and nominal 2.5.
