Default Get to Abilene Dyess AFB Early 5-3-08

The Air Race is launched at 08:30. The course is 150 miles so the race will be over by 09:30. The finish line is the middle taxiway ("D") and the route of flight is near the ramp between it and the runway from north to south. There are only 11 racers entered, probably because of all the paperwork and uncertainty of being on a military field without the normal personal control of your situation. There are some speedy entries:

Rene Dugas - Turboprop Legend
Henry Punzi - Mooney
James Redmon - Berkut 360
Larry Henney - Lancair 360
Jim Huff - Bonanza
Jim Robinson - Glassair III
Duncan Sutherland - SX-300
Nathan Larson - Bonanza
Jim Hogue - Mustang II
Mike Thompson - RV-6
Bob Axsom - RV-6A

P.S. I don't plan for the only fixed tricycle gearer RV-6A to be last at the end of the race but Mike tells me he is working on a super secret modification - we shall see.
