I quickly installed this affordable and dirt simple latch for securing the RV8 series canopy in the half open position. Designed by a fellow RV'er, this high quality assembly is spring loaded and powdercoated. You may notice I installed it a inch or so aft of being perfectly centered between the weldment as called out in the instructions. I simply wanted a bit more opening when the canopy is half opened. YMMV.
