Default Conduit or Stand-off?

Hey...

I found these and thought I would use them instead of the conduit in my wings...

Any thoughts? Will this work or am I missing something?

Default conduit or don't duit

Conduit allows you to R&R, add or subtract wires to the wing tip, stand offs take longer fingers.

IMHO

The problem with those is that the lightning holes have a rounded flange, so there's not a flat surface close to the edge of the hole to mount the standoff to. I have some, but never used them.

Conduits, conduits, conduits. If that's not clear or desireable then I might suggest the use of conduits instead.

Whatever you decide, DON'T USE THE STICKY MOUNTS unless you have clear access to them. They will fall off at some point. Your will need to inspect them and replace them on ocassion. Use E-6000 (Shoe GOO) in place of the adhesive pads on the sticky mounts (available at Walley World and craft shops).

An RV-8A building buddy bought a kit from a builder whith the airframe completed and ready for systems. The builder used clamps on his wing runs vs conduits. Now my buddy is perplexed about how to modify what's there.
