I've installed a super audio/video system in my -8 to entice my wife to travel when I get it done. It has "mine" and "hers" systems and hers includes a DVD player. It all works great except for the remote IR sensor -- which works great when it not in the plane, but when its inside the fuselage, it doesn't work
I changed the batteries (I got desperate and read the instructions) and turned on the overhead fluorescent light thinking maybe it was interfering with the signal. No dice! The remote works fine with the DVD Player or the 'remote senser' (on a 10' cord) only when its not in the fuselage. I even tried making sure it wasn't a stray ground or whatever and physically held in the fuselage which touching anything - still not working.
Anybody have any ideas?
