I bought my engine with a fresh overhaul done in 1959. The engine was pickled and put in storage.
When I brought it home, I pulled the cylinders and inspected the crank, cam and
cylinders for rust. Finding none, I just replaced all the rubber parts and hung the engine. With 100 hours on it since August, I can tell you there is nothing wrong with old metal!
That cylinder will be just fine.
