Default Subaru Engine/ PSRU Experiences and Problems

I'm starting this thread as a place for people flying (first hand experiences only please) Subaru EJ, EG and EZ series engines. Hopefully pilots will post problems and experiences (good or bad) they have had with engines and PSRUs. We'll include supporting systems like cooling and electrical in here as well.

If we share this info, it may help others solve similar problems and show us trends or specific recurring problem areas with certain components or designs.

Let's avoid finger pointing and just state the facts as we see or know them and try to learn something to improve the breed.

I'd welcome as much science as possible be applied but general observations are also welcome.
