An RV-4 won $65,000 cash last summer at the NASA PAV Challenge. The RV-9 or RV-12 could win even more this year, when NASA will give away $300,000 in cash prizes at the August 08 PAV Challenge in Santa Rosa, California.
NOTE: Feb 14 is the deadline to save $1000 on early bird registration fee.
This annual CAFE Foundation contest awards separate prizes for lowest noise, highest speed, shortest takeoff, best MPG, best angle of climb, and best handling. The best handling prize is $50,000 lump sum. There is a special $10,000 prize for quietest LSA.
