Default starter question

I recently bought an rv4 with an 0320 d2j. The starter that is on it I think was from a 280z that someone use to make a bracket for the rv's. The number on the starter is S 114-254 D and under that number is the number 29D. Can anyone tell me how to find another one of these. I can't match up the numbers at any of the auto stores. Thanks for the help.

Default starter question

Bill, post a picture and someone may be able to ID it. I am using a 260Z starter on my 0-320 with good results.

Try to find a local starter/alternator rebuild shop. Unlike the guys in the auto parts stores, they have real world experience. They can probably identify it for you. Probably can rebuild it too.

Hi Bill,

I have the same starter on my O-360 powered RV-4. It was purchased by the original builder from Mark Landoll of Newcastle, OK. 600 hours and working great!. You can contact Mark at 405-392-3847 or 405-685-0239.
