Default Strobe tube failure

I have two Whelen combined nav/strobe units mounted in my wingtips along with 75 watt landing lights.

At my 2nd annual (175 hours), I found that both L&R wing A610 strobe tubes were non functional. Closer inspection found both tubes cracked. The tail strobe still works fine.

My initial guess is that the heat from the Creativeair landing lights (which I always wig-wag in flight) has contributed to the problem.

Has anyone experienced this problem and have any advice?

Thanks, Vern
