Default Sump sludge

Ok, for those of you who have been inside an engine that made it to TBO without being opened, HOW DO YOU CLEAN OUT THE SUMP SLUDGE?

You can't reach into the nooks and crannies, the stuff is impervious to every degreaser I've tried - even 200F Dawn! The only way is to dissolve it!

Any hints would be great. It's only the sump - the case has been O/H already, clean as can be.

Or do I just have to break down and send it out?

Thanks, Rick 90432

Default Brake Cleaner

Will dissolve anything. Much stronger than even carb cleaner.

Berkebile is great stuff if you can find it. The only disadvantage is that it is more volatile than carb cleaner and will evaporate much more quickly.
