Default Vans mix bracket and negative oil on new Superior sump??

Hi.

I've just installed my new Superior oilsump (configured for the negative oil system) and now I've trouble with fitting Vans mixture bracket.
In the same area as the bracket goes, is now a square "piece" containing a fitting for the negative oilsystem.

This "piece" prevents the mixbracket to be mounted in the same place as on the Ryton sump. (same place as Vans use on Lyc's too)

Has anyone run into the same problem?

Also: I can't see how it's possible to mount the Christen negative oil system on the new sump?? The two bottom fittings are obscured by the x-over exhaust system?

Or is it something I've missed...??

Default Mixture Bracket

Alf

I had the same problem.

look in the thread, Where is the New Superior Sump????

http://www.vansairforce.com/communit...ad.php?t=23470

Putting it above the joint does work but it takes a bit of setting up including turning the arm over and resetting the levers etc.

As for the inverted fitting (christen part 810-S) It will have to be fitted to the rear left side of the sump. To do this you will have to remove the manifold off the bottom of the sump, fit the Tee fitting and then refit the manifold. The cap on this fitting can then also be used as the oil drain.
Superior suggested this. My contact there was:

Any problems feel free to ask

Peter
