Default Firewall Help?

Hi everyone,

I drilled a hole in my RV-8 firewall to run the cable to my aft battery, but am now going to put the battery on the firewall because I'll be using a lightweight (Whirlwind 200RV) prop. What is the safest way to plug the unused hole in the firewall? It is 3/4" in diameter and on the far left side.

Thanks for the help,

Default Firewall plug

Van's sells a 3/4" stainless steel plug used to fill a hole in the firewall of the RV-7A (and others?) where the nose gear bolt attaches. Part number is "FF 3/4 Firewall plug" Sounds like just what you need! Seal it with a little hi-temp RTV or, better yet, the sealant used to seal the perimeter of the firewall.
