Problems with Carburator MA4-5 or MA-4SPA

In 2006 several incidents and aircraft accidents occured in Switzerland due to insufficient engine power which involved small single-engined aircraft equipped with Marvel Schebler / Precision Airmotive carburators.

The Swiss Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau released a report with information thats maybe worth reading for builders, owners and every pilot of carburetor engine aircraft:
