Default RV-10 at Cameron Park

So, yesterday, I was just finishing up working on the entrance gate here at Cameron Park----O61----when a RV-10 lands. White with blue stripe. He taxis over to the fuel pit, so I call another 10 flyer here, and head over to say hello.

Too late, the plane is already taxing away for takeoff, 2nd in line behind a Bonanza. Guy in the Bonanza back taxies all the way to the end of the runway, gets off finally just about abeam of where I am.

The unknown 10 just turns onto the runway,--no back taxi---and hits it------he is at 300' or so and climbing rapidly, by the time he is abeam of me, and that is without the benefit of the extra 500' of runway the Bonanza guy used.

If one of you reading this happens to be the pilot, stop in a bit longer next time. Anyway, nice plane, I wish I had gotten there in time to say hello, and see your plane.

Could have been Mark Carey, N245RV based at Lincoln. He had the plane painted at Grady's in Texas. If you were a member of the Sacramento RVators you would probably know him

Hey Mike, thanks for the reply.

I know a few of the local group, have been invited to their meetings, but still have yet to hook up.

What dept do you work for???? I am retired CDF.

Stay safe.
