Looking for a good tire balancer
seen a few for motorcycles etc that should work ok, the "aircraft" models like the desser look nice I but don't want to spend that much. Any recommendations?

Try a ATV shop
Walt,
My Kitfox doesn't have split rims and I have a All Terrain Vehicle shop install and balance the tires. My guy charges $5 to balance. When I finish the -8, I'll mount the tires, but have him balance them. Its a pretty cheap alternative to buying and storing tools.
