N454CH First Engine Start
Yesterday afternoon I finally got to start the engine. I think, for me, this is the tipping point where I feel I've transitioned from having a project that will one day be an airplane, to having an airplane that will one day fly.
Here's the YouTube video, if you're interested. I know there are a million of these "first start" videos out there - but I just got a new MacBook Pro, so I couldn't resist

Hey, I love that video. Congratulations and keep them coming. What a beautiful job on that spinner too.

Clayton, that's one of the better 'first start' video's out there! I like how you put the info along the botttom as commentary. Great work!!

I've heard you can damage the airframe by running the engine without the wing tips installed

Clay, way to go! Nice job on the start and the documentation!
All in all, only squawk was an upside down mag switch? Not bad at all!
I would have shut the slider window in the truck first, though!
