Default RV "A" Model Cowl Design

It may be helpful to be looking at the cover of the January 2008 Plane & Pilot for this. A Continental IO-550 powered Cirrus SR22-G3 is coming right at you. Several items of interest are revealed some good and some bad (as in the unfaired cowl hole for the nose strut). A big feature is the outboard placement of the exhaust pipes. If one were to develop exhaust pipes with this exit orientation a lot of "A" model cleanup seems possible with a new cowl design. I will keep my associated cleanup ideas to myself for the moment because there are so many opportunities. What opportunities and problems do you see?
