Default Phone/mic jack placarding

Getting a lot of conflicting info concerning labeling of Phone /Mic jacks. Mine are in the panel. See a lot of RV's without the jacks labeled. Anyone know for sure if they need a placard to pass inspection? Like to leave them unlabeled if possible...Thanks, Chris

Default Mic/Phone Jacks

For what it is worth, I have flown many brand new Cessna's that don't have the mic/phone jacks labeled.

My DAR wanted everything labelled, including mike jacks and phone jacks seperately, and a label on the little micro toggle switch beside its flexible LED light. If needed, i guess do it. After inspection, they may 'fall' off

Don't label them and don't say a word. If your inspector (FAA or DAR) wants them labeled, he/she will tell you and you can label them before the first flight.

FWIW, mine are not labeled.
