Default FAA certified car seat alternative

A friend of mine that works with me part time also works as a flight attendant trainer at the United flight Training Center here in Denver. She told me about a new device that is FAA certified to use in an aircraft as a replacement to a car seat. It essentially turns a lap belt into a harness system and can be used on a commercial flight or a smaller GA aircraft. As a new parent it interests me because I always had reservations about sitting my little girl on our laps and hoping we never hit any huge bumps. Anyway neat idea and at only 1 pound it would lighten up our packing quite a bit.
