Default RV-8 & Long EZ collide during formation practice

Sunday above Delaware Bay around 10:50am two experimental aircraft collided. The one pilot was named as Ralph D. Morgan and the builder and pilot of the RV8 involved.

Authorities said six experimental planes from a group called The Vultures had just completed a maneuver called Six Ship Opposing and had broken off into separate groups of three when two planes in one group collided.

Our prayers are with both pilots and their families.

Default The Long EZ Pilot was this one entered in US Air Race

I received a message from the U.S. Air Race Vice President saying that the man entered as Racer #78 was killed in formation practice.
