Question Dynon 180 Mag compass module

Where's the best location for the Dynon mag compass module. Looks like they give you plenty of wire. I'm thinking of installing in back in the rear behind baggage bulkhead . Is there a better place?

Default Dynon compass module

I don't know if it's a better place, but SafeAir1 sells a bracket for the magnetometer that goes on the outboard wing rib.

Default dynon remote compass

Mounting along the aircraft centerline is a better choice IMHO for the magnetometer. Out on the wing works fine,I have heard, but heading is more affected in rough air. I have mine suspended behind the baggage bulkhead, and the installation was easy. Shorter wire runs, better protected from the elements, and easy inspection, service, etc.

Just my 2...Chris

Mine is on the floor just behind the baggage bulkhead.
