Default VM1000 battery

I have aVM1000 engine monitor and need to change the battery (I Think) has anyone done this and how hard was it.
Any tricks mine is hard to get at

I've had the new battery for quite some time but haven't gotten around to installing it. The original battery is still going so I've left it alone. I have to remove my panel to get to the CPU box and I'm really dreading it.

With the cooler weather, I might have to jump in and just do it.
