Default What's the difference NAS 1096, NAS 1801

I've used NAS 1096 hex head/phillips in a few places instead of the AN515 screws. ACS also sells NAS 1801 screws that look the same as the 1096's. According to the ACS catalog the 1801 have a high tensile strength then the 1096's but they are also a few cents cheaper.

What's the difference between the two and which one the better replacement for AN515's ?
