Default help sorta

Hi all Just arrived At Mather frield in Sacremento.

While putting on the weather cover I stupidly managed to rip off my Transponder attenna!...Greeeat...

Anyway I could probably make it work but if it doesn't and I'm IFR when leaving this could be really scary.

So I just wondered if anyone was in the area and happened to have one (its the little 3" long straight rod with a little ball on the end) and a few tools to fiit it sometime on Saturday?

If not I'll just jury rig something.

Thanks

916 832 8580...Thats a number where I'm staying..

Default Well today's hero award goes to..

Rich Stahleman, Who not only just happend to have the same style of antenna lying unused on a shelf, he kindly fired up his aiprlane and flew half an hour to get to me complete with tools to speedily get the rear bulkead panel off.

Took about 25 minutes including socialising to replace the antenna.

On the way home the aiport 25miles to the south of Corvallis was socked in with fog and the jets were going missed and holding.

another half an hour and I would not have gotten into CVO VFR...that would have been a close call if I had'nt had replaced the antenna.

Rich, You sir are a scholar and a gentleman!

Thanks a bunch!

Frank
