It's certainly something for fans of alternative engines to examine and ponder, but I'm not too sure about the qualities of this design. It comes with practically none of the simplified features that Deltahawk have incorporated. It's dead without electricity, it's not mechanically simpler (perhaps more complex!) than a Rotax 914, it's got a reduction drive and it's a flat inline. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if all the power pulses are in the same direction, won't it be vibrating a lot?

The quoted weight doesn't seem too bad at first, but installed it might be 30 lbs heavier than 914.

While I love reading about new designs, I think this one is off the mark. A four stroke diesel will probably get better mileage, here in Euroland Jet A1 comes with a price advantage too. But if it's more complex, electric reliant, heavier and perhaps comes with a bigger price tag...it's hard to look past a Rotax.
