Default aft slider canopy track seal w/ meske conversion

For those who have Rich Meske's tip up conversion for their slider, what did you do to seal the aft canopy track. It seems that while you could use the standard nylon slide seal from Van's that is attached to the canopy frame with a little string, doing so would be a pain in the neck having to get that slide seal on and off the track every time you use the tip up feature.

Have you used Van's slide seal with success and without it being a hassle?

or

Have you abandoned Van's slide seal altogether and use no special seal?

or

Have you come up with another alternative?

Thanks.

I have the tipup-slider and retained the
slide seal. It comes out at the same notch
you use to release the main rear slider guide.
I slide the seal out first and then slide the
canopy back and release the rear guide.
I don't really see it as a problem.

Default re:aft slider canopy track seal w/ meske conversion

At first I simply did not use any seal, however here in the great white north this proved to not be a good idea. I ended up putting in the seal from Van's and using a piece of coated fishing leader as a tether. This works well and is really not a big deal when tipping up the canopy, you just have to remember to do it. Sure is less drafty in the winter.
