Question Wiring

Is it acceptable wiring practice to butt splice two or three smaller wires with one larger wirer as long as the total amp rating of the large wire equals or exceeds the total of the smaller wires?

Bill... the real limit would be the fuse/breaker rating of the fat wire.

This fuse/breaker would have to be rated for the smallest wire in the circuit, not the "fat" wire... is this true for what you are planning?
