Default To lean

Our lean condition at wot has been solved. After talking to Peter Nielson at Pression carburetor he explained to me that the part no. of our carburetor was for an early 172. The port in the carb. throat that provides the enrichment at upper power settings is in a location that is not compatable with Van's airbox and the K and N filter. The newer style carb. has the port located in a position that is not affected by the airflow pattern of Van's induction system. We ordered a new style carb. Hope this may help someone
some time.

Hey Ted could you provide me with contact info for Peter Nielson. I think I might have the same problem. "Wrong model for the application"
