Default Horizontal vs Updraft Sump

Guys,
Can I use the horizontal sump on a Superior O-360 or can it only be used on the IO-360 engine? Thanks for you thoughts.

Default

The common Horizontal sumps will fit any O-360. You may have to come up with some intake pipe modifications for them to fit an O-360 but the sump itself will bolt right up to the 360 case. The common Horizontal sumps will only allow a fuel injector to be mounted to them.
Good Luck,
Mahlon

Default Carb or Injection?

The regular carb cannot be used with a horizontal sump as it a vertical draft carb (won't work layed down on it side). Most people use FI, there are other alternatives - such as the Ellison throttle body injector.
