Default RE:S700-2-50 to fuel pump wiring!!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

I am using an S700 2-50 switch to activate my fuel pump. So far I have been unable to brake the code. I have so far used multiple schemes .......I can get it to work to this point....toggle down OFF.....toogle mid position (on)......toggle up notta?????????????...for the momentary on. Right now I have #2 to power bus, #5 to ground, #1 to pump motor, #6 to motor, and #3 to #6.

Thanks for any and all suggestions.

Default RE:#1 to #3

What a day .... if I did't have bad luck .....I wouldn't have any luck at all. Not totally true......I finally saw the light and realized that #1 to #3 would do the trick. Hooked it up that way and walla.... we have off....down, on...mid position, momentary on.....up.....WORKED

If there is a better way of wiring this up please give me the info.

So you go from On to momentary On?? if it's already on (mid position).. why go all the way up? that kinda doesn't make sense to me...

Wouldn't it make more sense to have down On, mid Off, and up momentary On?

Frank...
Check your regular e-mail... I just sent you a portion of Aeroelectric Bob's schematic that gives the pin numbers.

If you get one of the free viewers for DWG (AutoCAD) files, you can get Bob's schematics here...

http://www.aeroelectric.com/PPS/ACAD_Architecture_Dwgs/

The switch is on his basic Z11 drawing.

Thanks for the reply. I did give this some consideration...but all switches except the Flaps switch are off in the down position. So I decided to have the fuel pump oriented the same. I agree that this doesn't make sense in that why have full on and momentary on right next to each other . I will have an idicator light on the panel so that I won't accidently leave the switch in mid position after priming the engine.

How about turning it around? down momentary On.. mid Off.. up On... that way you push it down and can't leave it in On position...and if it's next to flaps.. it'll look similar

Otherwise, a simple On/Off switch would simplify installation and remove failure points (connections). Now, I am assuming that both of these are controlling same pump, right?

It makes sense. Yes it does control the same pump. A simple switch would take away my theory of making everything as complicated and difficult as possible!!!!!!!

I will sleep on your ideas, especially the KISS proposal.
