I have recently had the pleasure of ignitingthe fire beneath a retired docs butt to get his project finished. I walked in on this Plane last week, and this is what I found.:
A near complete RV6-A with very maticulous work.
a complete panel to include full IFR and AP
a new, not rebuilt, 0-360 with TBI.
you name it has it. A beautiful piece of art/workmanship that was abandoned for lack of a test pilot, and some minor finishing touches.
I am going to run the engine up tomorrow as I cant find any reason not to, and plan to have the DAR meet me next week. are there any pearls of wisdom? I have not been involved in the building of this plane, but I plan to be involved in the finishing of it.
I have been around several kit planes that just didnt seem to "want" to fly. This plane seems tired of waiting. Any input would be GREAT!!!
