Walt... you are being a bit harsh here....
Even if they are not Mil-Spec, they are still good switches
- rated at 25,000 activations
- which should be enough for several RV lifetimes
- and have a DC rating @ 12 V of
Max Current.......15A
Max Inrush.........40A
Resistive............15A
Inductive...........10A
Motor Load..........6A
...this DC rating is significant, since a lot of RVs (a majority?) are flying
with switches that are not even rated for DC loads.
I bet the switches in the new Boeing 787 are not all Mil-Spec,
since the US abandoned Mil-Specs several years ago....
Good switches from a reputable manufacturer, with ratings
and an activation life suitable for our RVs are good enough
for me.... and an improvement on a lot of the switches sold
by such places as Aircraft $pruce for homebuilts, which I
would describe as real "cheesy"....
gil in Tucson.... usually likes Mil-Specs, but the TL switches
probably date back to WWII, or at least the Gemini Program...
