Default Programme for first flights?

Hi RV-ators,

I guess our big moment is approaching now quite fast. Do you have any advise on a programme for tests during the first flights? Are there any existing checklists for this?

Default Kevin Horton's site

Hi Rene,

Check out Kevin's site here: http://www.kilohotel.com/rv8/

He's got tons of flight test information, and links to other sites with flight test info. The fact that he is a professional test pilot might have something to do with the depth and breadth of this section of his website.

I'm standing by for Kevin's first flight, so I can "borrow" all of his RV8 test cards!

Mickey

Default AC90-89A

FAA Advisory Circular AC90-89A Amateur-Built Aircraft Flight Testing Handbook is a very good guide to look at. It goes into detail on things to consider when trying to reduce the risk, and has specific recommendations on tests to perform on the first few flights.

The FAA keeps changing the URL, but if the above link stops working, just Google AC90-89A.pdf.
