Cleaned my exhaust...
I have a custom stainless exhaust thats a crossover that eventually leads into one 2.5" pipe that exits cowling. With the oxidation, it was pretty unsightly because you can see it with the cowling on.
I was considering an order from Vetterman, even called Clint, because the heat muff was horrible mess of failing fasteners and RTV.
I thought about sanding things down, but when removing the old heat muff I tried lightly sanding/buffing the oxidation out without success. Even 80 grit flapper wheel on angle grinder had a hard time on oxidation..it just seemed to polish.
I little search of the triple-dub revealed that motorcycle enthusiasts will use acidic based toilet bowl cleaner to remove oxidation staining...just happen to have some muriatic acid lying around to give it a try. This, and 220 wet/dry, made short work of the oxidation.
I initially used red scotchbrite, which also worked, but the acid ate through it so I switched to sandpaper.
Looks like it's freshly extruded...you can compare difference in the pic below.

Flew to Ajo Arizona from KDVT
P01 is located about 80 miles south of Phoenix just south of R2305. The airport was used in the 1940's by the Army Air Corp and since is known for a golf course and Country Club. Access from the north is with permission of Gila Bend Aux GXF and requires permission by Snake eyes approach. (friends call him Snake). You then follow a highway to P01 at 500 feet AGL. The area is used for target practice and is littered with the triangular dirt landing strips. The officers club is still in use for meals staffed by all volunteers. Worth the stop if in the area.

Flew to Hawaii and back today... but it wasn't in my RV.
Flying over Pacific at sunset offers awesome views that I thought some may enjoy seeing, so please forgive this non-RV post.
Flying my RV to New Mexico tomorrow though....

After a few days of dealing with snow, car issues, ice dams and roof leaks, I finally got a chance to lay down the first two layers of fiberglass pre-preg for my windscreen molding.
If the weather holds off, I may get several days of work done... we'll see.

Lots of snow to start the weekend - made for some pretty sights (until summer blew in Saturday afternoon).

Flew to AL to have lunch with wife's family. We dined at a local Chinese restaurant. When the fortune cookies arrived, before opening I said, "I hope it doesn't warn about flying little planes".
Here's the fortune:
